HE104-DX/DXL
HE104-DX/DXL 60 Watt PC/104 DC-DC rugged power supply The HE104-DX is a 60 Watt PC/104 DC-DC rugged power supply. The HE104-DX is specifically designed for the rugged requirements of vehicular applications and has heavy-duty transient suppressors (3000W) on both main and secondary inputs) that clamp the input voltage to safe levels, while maintaining normal power supply operation. The HE104-DX is a state-of-the-art Mosfet based design that provides outstanding line and load regulation with efficiencies up to 95 percent. Organic Semiconductor Capacitors provide filtering that reduces ripple noises below 20mV. The low noise design makes the HE104-DX ideal for use aboard aircraft or military applications or wherever EMI or RFI must be minimized. The HE104-DX has a wide input range of 6 — 40V DC (>6:1). The +5V, +12V, −5V and −12V DC outputs are controlled by a constant frequency architecture regulator that provides excellent line and load transient response. The HE104-DX is also available in a low cost, +5V and +12V output only configuration, the HE104-DXL. The HE104-DX is a compact design measuring 3.55″ x 3.775″ x 0.9″ and has an operating temperature of −40° to +85°C. The HE104-DX is available from stock and is now RoHS compliant.
OmniBus II PXIe
OmniBus II PXIe PXIe Avionics Interface Cards The Ballard OmniBus II PXI Express (PXIe) card is designed for use in multi-slot PXIe and CompactPCI Express test systems. It enables these systems to interface with multiple avionics databuses for testing, validating and simulating commercial and military avionics equipment and systems. The card is highly configurable and includes two internal Cores that can be populated with a variety of databus protocols and discrete I/O modules. The OmniBus II PXIe is the next-generation of Astronics’ popular OmniBus product with faster I/O and processing capabilities. With the newest advanced set of MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429 modules, users can verify wave form compatibilities, test functions of bus shorts and opens, and—when combined with our CoPilot® software—perform lab, production and flight test verification and simulation right out of the box. Readily available as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, the PCIe interface is perfect for challenging simulation, test, interface, and data recording applications. Hardware OmniBus II modules used on this card feature the latest 6th generation protocol engines and bus mastering to yield high performance. Power is obtained from the backplane bus—no supplemental power is needed. All cards are standard 3U size and include sixteen TTL level input/output discretes and IRIG time synchronization/generation. User software can indicate status by controlling the two LEDs. Software Users can develop their own software applications with the included BTIDriver™ API. With only a few function calls, a program can operate the interface card and process messages to and from the avionics databuses. Functions include routines for transmitting, receiving, scheduling, recording, time-tagging, and manipulating data. The interface card can use applications developed for other Ballard devices. Code migrates seamlessly from BTIDriver compatible devices or through a translation driver from older Ballard devices. Alternatively, Ballard’s optional CoPilot software provides easy-to-use, interactive tools for databus test, analysis, and simulation. CoPilot simplifies project development and provides added productivity through virtual instrument displays, flexible monitoring and analysis tools, and a powerful scripting engine.

Benefits: Single solution for many applications Portable, versatile, and durable USB 2.0 bus powered—no external power supply needed Compatible with virtually all Windows-based computers Intuitive graphical software display Rugged case allows unit to be stored with cables connected for quick setup Use in the lab or in the field FCC and CE compliant ARINC 717 Test Set Applications: 717 (and optional 429) analysis, test, and simulation Flightline and AOG support Data recording Avionics validation/testing Portable Problem-Solver The TS 717 Test Set for ARINC 717 is a convenient, easy-to-use tool for test and maintenance of aircraft systems that are tied to the Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR). The compact interface/cable hardware is conveniently stored in a rugged carrying case for easy transport and quick deployment. To use, simply connect one end to the aircraft test plug, the other to the USB port on any Windows® computer, and the accompanying CoPilot software displays the user-specified data received from a Digital Flight Data Acquisition Unit (DFDAU) or DFDR output databus. Operation When connected to an ARINC 573 or 717 databus, the test set automatically senses and adjusts to the bit rate (from 64 to 8192 words per second). It then synchronizes to the sync words in the serial data stream. Status is continuously reported including the bus speed, state of the sync, and current subframe and superframe. To display a particular flight data parameter, the operator specifies the word by entering the desired word number, subframe, and superframe. The display is updated each time the specified word is received. Subframes may be specified uniquely or as odd, even, or all. Specify superframes uniquely or all. Key Features: Easy to use Receives, displays and transmits ARINC 573 and 717 data Displays data in multiple radices Shows bus speed and position status Auto speed and sync detection Selectable word, subframe, and superframe Also available with ARINC 429 support What’s Included All TS 717 models include the following items: ARINC 717 databus to USB interface (also available with ARINC 429) ARINC 717 aircraft cable Locking USB cable* 44-pin mating connector for building custom cable CoPilot test & analysis software Rugged carrying case Instruction manuals *USB cable screw-locks securely to the interface hardware.
