In the field of mission critical rugged applications for a harsh environment, high reliability in a compact enclosure is a must, so MicroMax's systems, which still remain unsurpassed, rely on the extremely dependable Intel Core 2 Duo 2.26 GHz. The fanless M-Max 800 PR/MS, housed in a rugged aluminum enclosure with dual shock and vibration protection, is designed for operation in harsh environments including extreme temperatures, dust, humidity and vibration. This system does not have any moving parts - no fans and no hard drives, whose low MTBF will reduce reliability of the system.
In addition to the standard Gigabit Ethernet port (Intel 82567), the M-Max 800 PR/MS contains five additional Fast Ethernet ports (Intel 82551) and two universal serial ports (RS-232, RS-422/485, RS-449, EIA-530, EIA-530/A, V.35 or X.21 (V.11)). As in most other M-Max systems, this model contains an industrial grade 32 GB solid state drive. MicroMax's patented technology is used to dissipate excessive heat from computer boards. Furthermore, the M-Max 800 PR/MS is built with a high degree of dust and moisture protection (IP65).
